TV/VCR

The clinic is hooked up to Osaka Cable TV (OCT) to make your stay
all the more enjoyable.
The remote control is at the side of the bed in each room. There are 32
channels to choose from - refer to the OTC television guide to find out
what is showing. The power button for the TV is on the cable unit remote
control. The VCR is reserved for educational use by the clinic.



Air Conditioner

Each room has individual controls to adjust the room temperature.
Set the thermostat at about 28'C while you're sleeping to avoid
catching a cold. Careful not to cool down the room too
much in the summer.



safe

Please keep any valuables you bring in the safe provided in each room.
The safe locks with a personal identification code that you can set
yourself.



Refrigerator

Each room has a refrigerator for your convenience. It is stocked with
two cans of juice and tea (mugicha) . Please feel free to
drink them during your stay.



Cable Radio

We have installed cable radio with 440 channels so you can enjoy
whatever music you like during your stay. The tuner is located at the
bedside in each room. Private rooms are equipped with stereo speakers, and
shared rooms are equipped with stereo headphones for your listening enjoyment.
In shared rooms, the sound can be switched between the cable radio
and television.
(Please keep the volume to a level that won't disturb others.)



wash basin

Hot water comes out right away, so be careful not to burn yourself.
Also, please do not deposit tea leaves or other solid substances in the sink.



toilet

Private rooms all have a private toilet. Patients in shared rooms should
use the toilets marked "for patients only" on either the 2nd or 3rd floor.
Anyone unfamiliar with the use of a "washlet" toilet should ask a nurse.
Please remenber that flushing sanitary napkins will clog the pipes. Flush-
ing anything but the supplied toilet paper will cause the toilet to overflow. No
one wants this to happen! If you accidently drop your napkin in the toilet, please
don't flush. You can remove it using the special tool located in each toilet.
If you are unable to remove it, please contact a staff menber.



room phones

Private phones are available in each room. Outside calls can be taken bet-
ween 9:00am and 8:00pm. Calls placed from your room to the outside can be
made at anytime. Press "0" before placing your outgoing call. To call the
nurse station, dial "200". The direct number for your room phone is written at
the base of the phone. Please ask callers to dial your room direct. All out-
going call charges will be added to the bill of your first post-partum check-
up. Thank you for your cooperation.



pay phones

Pay phones are located in the 3rd floor lounge at the 1st floor entrance-
hall.



call button

Don't hesitate to use the call button to request a nurse, even in the middle
of the night. You can also reach the nurse station by dialing "200" on your room
phone.



stationary & stamps

You will find two letter sets ready for use in your room.
When you're ready to send them, take them to the reception desk,
and we will stamp and mail them for you.
Additional letter sets are available for a small charge.



beauty services

A shampoo is scheduled for the first day after delivery. A beautician
will be there to assist. Also, to refresh your spirits before you leave,
facial massages are available at no charge. The staff will be around to
ask if you want one and to set up your appointment.



shower

The shower rooms are equipped with TOTO Body Showers, which you may
use whenever you like. Hot water comes out of five different shower
heads, so your boby won't get chilled even in winter. Don't skimp on hot
water use!



washer/dryer

If you have a small amount of laundry to do, feel free to use the washer/
dryer machines as needed. Ask a nurse for instructions on use.
If you are unable to do the laundry yourself, please ask a nurse for assis-
tance. Also, please refrain from hanging clothes to dry in your room or
anywhere in the clinic. Note that as a safety measure, the magnetic lock on
the machine's door won't release for two minutes after the laundry is fin-
ished. No need to hurry, just relax and take your time.



hot water/tea

Hot water and tea are available at the hot beverage corner on the third
floor.



coffee

Coffee is available at the entrance to the stairs on the first floor and the
hot beverage corner on the third floor. Please advise the staff if the coffee
supply is running low. When you throw away your cup, please be sure to re-
turn the cup holder so it can be reused. Thank you for your cooperation.
