Congratulations on your pregnancy. To protect your health and the health of your unborn child, it is our standard procedure to perform the following blood tests during the first trimester. Each test is necessary to ensure the health of the mother and the birth of a healthy baby. If there is a test that you can not consent to, please state this clearly to the staff at the time of your blood analysis appointment so that the test is not be performed.

The cost for tests 1-4 (marked*) can be covered using the ticket for "preg- nant woman's health exam," included in your "boshi techo," so use this to pay for these tests. You can receive your boshi techo from the insurance center (hokensho) in your ward/district. The cost for the test when using the exam tickets is ¥ .

NOTE: Results from blood tests can not be given out to anyone other than the patient.
